Tidewater Mopar Club November 2006 Newsletter
First the news. We regret to report that John Hill, longtime TMC member, recently passed away. His enthusiasm and skills will be sorely missed.
Our thanks to Rick Seaman and Darin Christenson for judging for a TMC-sponsored trophy at the Virginia Fall Classic on October 29th.. The club attended the Eastern Mopar Classic, postponed from October 28th to November 11th, causing the scheduled Colonial Cruise to be postponed until next year.

CLUB ELECTIONS IN PROGRESS:
At the last club meeting, the club
opened nominations for the end of year elections for club officers
and board of directors. Nominations will be closed and finalized at
the next club meeting on Saturday, 12/2/06. For club members unable
to attend either meeting, you may nominate someone or volunteer to
run for a position as a club officer or on the board of directors by
sending your nomination via E-mail or phone to the club secretary, or
by posting your nomination on the TMC webpage forum. Voting ballots
will be mailed to all club members with annual renewals in December
and the votes will be tallied during the January Club meeting. The
following officer positions are up for election as well as three
additional board member positions:
President,
Vice President, Treasurer & Secretary
Christmas Party: The Club Christmas party will be held from 2pm-6pm, Saturday, 9 December at AMF Hidenwood Lanes, 12407 Warwick Blvd, Newport News VA (about 0.6 mi NW of J.Clyde Morris Blvd). The cost is $20 per person and includes all bowling and a buffet. At 6 pm, the club will have dirty Santa gift exchange. Club members wishing to participate in the gift exchange should bring one gift per person valued at $10 to $20. Club members should Email or call Kevin Beard, club secretary at beard@tidewatermoparclub.com or (757) 599-4210 prior to December 6th, or post your response on the webpage forum to make your reservations for the party.
TMC Club Meeting Saturday, 2 December 10a-4p:
The club will be meeting a Squidly’s customs in December to finalize nominations for club officers and board of directors. We will socialize from 10a-12p. Have a brief lunch, and hold the meeting at 2pm. Club members are welcome to come out and see the many mopar projects at the shop. We will also be working on the give away car as time permits. Directions: Take I64 to the Indian River Rd.; exit (north)west. Squidly’s is on Indian River Road about 0.9 mi past Military Hwy on the right. Look for the TMC "Win this Car" trailer. Got Old Oil? Club members are invited to dump used motor oil at Squidly’s Customs (see directions for club meeting). Dumping your oil at Squidly’s will help the shop that helps the club because used oil is burned in the shop heating system.
Back Seat Needed: The club needs a rear seat bottom for a 67 or 68 C-Body convertible that can be donated to the club Fury Project.
