| Another productive week of work on the Seneca. The remaining door glass and heater box was removed. We started to strip the paint from the body. The hood and hood hinges were removed and we continued work on the tilt front end. Angle iron was used to fill the gap between the hood and the fenders, leaving the perfect space for welding. The angle supported the hood (no hinges) and will provide the necessary structural support for the tilt mechanism. The hood and angle were shimmed using scrap sheet metal pieces until everything aligned perfectly. Then the angle was welded to the fenders. Next week we will remove the hood, finish the support structure, and then weld the hood in place. | |
